W. E. Anderson
W. E. Anderson - Was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, July 2, 1845. When he was ten years of age, his parents
came to California. They came by water, and arrived at San Francisco November 29, 1855. After
about one month they located in Napa Valley, where the father died in the fall of 1861. In 1869
the subject of this sketch returned East, where he remained until February, 1881, when he returned
to California, and located at St. Helena. Here he is engaged in merchandising. He was married
December 31, 1872, to Miss B. Y. Patterson, by whom he has two children, William T. and Guy P.
